New Technology &
Subtle Lift

Where combining PDO threads and HA-based filler comes in.

JUVEDERM Box combined solution allows advanced practitioners to treat aesthetic concerns, all while delivering instant lifting, a naturally rejuvenated and defined look that either procedure alone wouldn’t be able to address fully.

Alone procedures such as thread lifts and fillers are phenomenal for improving your confidence and restoring your appearance, but the results are even better when used in  tandem.

By combining two different non-surgical anti-aging treatments, patients can achieve a profoundly positive change in their appearance.

When a PDO Thread lift is done in conjunction with HA dermal fillers, patients get results similar to what they would get from a surgical facelift. No general anesthesia, less recovery time, no incisions, and virtually no risk of scars or serious complications associated with more aggressive treatments – this simple and reliable thread lifting technique provides natural yet remarkable results.

PDO Threads

The procedure works by lifting things like sagging skin tissues by inducing collagen production through the filament inserted into the skin.

Once inserted into the skin, the threads activate collagen synthesis to tighten and rejuvenate the skin, giving it a youthful appearance. Typically, around 10-30 mono threads are used to treat an area.

Threads tighten and lift the skin more profoundly than dermal fillers by producing a mechanical lift to the face and neck area.

During a consultation, your doctor will evaluate your anatomy and review your goals to decide if you are a candidate for a thread lift.

HA Filler

Dermal fillers are great if you have one or a few areas of concern.

They can do a lot for the face, from rebuilding lost volume and correcting facial asymmetry to softening nose-to-mouth lines, lifting jowls ever-so-slightly, adding definition to the lips and redefining the curve of the cheek.

The way Hyaluronic acid fillers sit beneath the skin and attract water helps them hold their shape and, over the following weeks, integrate with your facial tissues and become part of your face.

During a consultation, your doctor will evaluate your anatomy and review your goals to decide the treating zone/s and the type of filler suited for you.

PDO + Fillers

After a certain age, dermal fillers stop having the desired effect patients want in some areas of the face. Adding a thread lift can provide those results.

Non-surgical modalities such as thread lifts with adjuvant HA dermal filler may prolong the need for surgery and perhaps even remove it as an option for some.

The combined use of PDO threads and HA filler is an effective technique for a facelift, creating contours and angles that are consistent with a more youthful look. Significant improvement is expected within a week of the procedure, ensuring high patient satisfaction.

During a consultation, your doctor will evaluate your anatomy and review your goals to decide if you are a candidate for a combination treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

PDO thread lifting is an excellent and effective non-surgical technique to lift and tighten skin. JUVEDERM
PDO Threads have the potential to re-define facial contours and induce collagen production.

Unlike facelift surgery which uses general anesthesia, thread lift uses local anesthesia where numbing ends
quickly. Thanks to the quality and technology of the needle, the treatment is easy, atraumatic, and requires little
to no downtime.
However, you will still experience pain and swelling in the treated area, and your doctor will recommend
analgesics to help with the pain and discomfort. Take your medication as directed. Rest.

PDO Threads are used to induce collagen production in the skin and define the facial contours. They can provide immediate results that continue to improve, peaking at 3-6 months and lasting between 2-3 years.

Yes. PDO threads can be used in isolation as a stand-alone procedure or combination with other treatments.
Combining PDO threads with multiple treatment modalities should always be individualized to the patient’s
situation and desired outcomes. Our PDO thread lifts inspire practitioners to create their personalized vectors
and innovative techniques.

As one of the leading anti-aging trends of today, dermal fillers are a customized aesthetic treatment that temporarily reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while restoring lost volume to deflated skin. Dermal fillers are composed of Hyaluronic acid, a natural substance in the body, and work by drawing in water and augmenting the skin for a more youthful appearance.

HA-based dermal fillers have grown in popularity over recent years, primarily because of their ease with
integrating with the body. Since Hyaluronic acid is already found in the body, dermal fillers that use HA can be
injected without the fear of body incompatibility.
If dermal fillers are something you are considering, it’s best to know all the risks and potential side effects and
how best to limit them before you decide to move forward.

The most common side effects are tenderness, mild redness, or swelling at the injection site. Other symptoms
may include a small nodule or bump under the skin that can be seen or felt but should disappear in a few days.
Finding a qualified, experienced injector is the first step to ensuring patients get the right results and reduce the
risk of any complications.

Recovery time varies for each patient, the type of filler injected, and the specific area being treated. Most
people can resume their usual day-to-day activities immediately.
We recommend that you should not have a dermal filler procedure less than two to three weeks before an
important event, due to mild bruising, which may occur.
Be sure to discuss your recovery plan with your physician before undergoing injections.

Fillers are not permanent. How long they last depend on the filler type, where it’s injected, the patient’s
metabolism, and personal lifestyle. Most Hyaluronic acid fillers usually last between 6 and 12 months as the
body gradually breaks down the Hyaluronic acid.
Just like any other skincare procedure, individual results will vary.

Yes. You can have HA filler and thread lifts done at the same time. Moreover, these two treatments complement
each other and are often combined for optimal results.
We recommend using our combination solution JUVEDERM Combo Box if you opt for visible but long-lasting
results and an instant flash of rejuvenation.
Depending on the individual’s aesthetic goals and medical background, it is essential to carefully assess each
patient’s face to identify optimal thread + filler placement and product used.

Dermal filler treatments are simple and usually take between 10 and 30 minutes, depending on the area being
treated. A skilled facial filler injector can complete most filler procedures in less than 20 minutes.
PDO thread lift is a relatively more complex and intricate procedure. It may take up to one hour to complete the
treatment because the threads have to be shaped and molded underneath the skin before being pulled back
and tightened.

Compared with other skin resurfacing treatments, the main benefits of JUVEDERM Combo treatment are
immediate, long-lasting results with minimal to no downtime, less pain, and no severe complications during the
procedure or afterward.
And because the threads and the filler help the body increase collagen production, patients can expect their
skin to improve continually for several months.
• An instant lift + rejuvenation
• No downtime
• Long-term results
• Reduced wrinkles and fine lines over time
• Can be combined with other anti-aging treatments
